Well, it's not like I'll own a new car or have a car to drive around, but heck. P license still means I can drive. So shut it.
Yours truly loves shopping, music and designing. I hell dig for great movies and expensive, tasty chocs. Non-smoker. Non-alcoholic. Two best movies I've ever watched? It's gotta be The Prestige and The Holiday. If you haven't watched them, what the hell are you doing with your life?
I love my family and friends to earth. Well I might be a pain in an ass to my family and a stupidly plus retardedly funny irritating friend AT TIMES, but yeah, I know they love me too. (I pay ya'll 5 bucks, just say yes).
I so goddamn adore photography and crave for a D-SLR camera. *ahem* My birthday is not far away, Oct 12, ahem. One of my biggest affection is designing.
I love Tiramisu, Cappucino and Chocolate cakes. Starbucks' Javachip frappucino rocks. I love socialising and parties. I'm hella big fan of Indo Har Mee. No seriously. I am. Enjoy reading me. Oh, and be a darling and do me favour, would you? Click on my pretty ads, they'll make you prettier. Trust ME.

My L-O-L Experience At True Fitness
If you're a health freak and have never been to a fitness centre and that you're always wondering how it feels like working out in one and how friendly and funny the staffs there are, read ahead.
BUT,
if you think health and fitness is totally boring you, you may just forget reading today's post and click the 'X' button above at your screen.
Eheh.
SO,
Thursday, 31st June Questionings
Two days ago, Thursday, Michelle asked me to accompany her to the True Fitness at Taipan to collect 1 week free trial passes.
I was actually pretty lazy,
Cheryl : "Harrhh.. want meh? They'll bug you for your whole life, keep calling you wan lehh, want meh? Dont want lah fren.."
Mich : "Alahhh want lah fren. Teman me lahh. 7 days free trial you know!"
*thinks* FREE weih.
Okay lah, fine. (Malaysians would do almost anything for free stuffs). So I teman-ed her there. Met the fitness dude named Krishna, who showed us around the WHOLE fitness centre, mind you, when I said WHOLE, I really meant the WHOLLEEEE fitness centre. zomgg.
Krishna : Ohh Michelle, so this is your friend?
Mich : Yeah, she's the one I was waiting for.
Krishna : Hie, I'm Krishna, and you are?
Me : Cheryl. *smiles*
Krishna : So, Cheryl, is there anything or any main goals you want to achieve out of attending or coming to the fitness centre?
Me : Errrrrrr........ *must have goals wan mehh* errr... I don't know man.. For fun?
Krishna : Huh..er.. No no, Okay why not you look at our sheet here, we have goals like Weight Loss, Tone Up, Building, and so on.. take a look Cheryl.
Me : Orrh, okay. *reads the whole damn sheet* I don't know lah weih, 'cincai' lah, tone up I suppose.
Krishna : Okay so you wanna tone up, get a bit of building right?
Me : Actually hor, I'm just here to accompany my friend *points at michelle* =)
Krishna : Ohhhhh ookaaaay.
*then he sort of gave me the wth look*
HAHAA.
Fat Content Test
Krishna : Okay so now, girls, we're going to test for how much fats your body contents okay?
Michelle excitedly agreed, while I wasn't too interested to know how fat I am. But I tested anyway.
They tested on Mich first. Her results came out to above 30%, which they then referred to the chart sticked up on their wall that says...
>30% = OBESE.
ZOMFG WTNN.
Krishna : Okay now your turn Cheryl.
Cheryl : I DON'T WANT TO TEST! Noo! I'll only get more disapointed with the results lahhh. You're going to say that I'm fat. My friend small small size also you say she's obese. Die lah like that. Don't want don't want.
Krishna : Don't worry, don't worry. You came to the right place, we can help you with all that.
-.-
So my results turned out to be 30% on the dot. Which STILL freaking equals to OBESE.
wtfff weiihhh.. I'm OBESE man. Habis.
Tour
Krishna took us on a tour. Brought us to all the levels there were in the whole building. Showed us most of their equipments and machines. Explained more or less how they function and what's the use for.
It was like my body was there, but my mind's elsewhere. Half the time I didn't know what he was talking. Wasn't very interested though. I just wanted my FREE 7 days trial.
Lol.
He even showed us the toilets and locker room.
Krishna : So here's the 1st floor, where our restroom, changing room. sauna and locker rooms are. On your left is the ladies side, you both can go take a short tour inside. Just turn left then walk ahead and have a look, okay?
Cheryl : Oh okay, toilets ah? I like lah this one. Air-conditioned somemore. Eh you're not coming in with us to show us around?
Krishna : *chuckles* I.. I can't, it's the ladies.
Ahahahhaaa, it's fun to disturb him. =D

The 'Money Talk' Begins
Krishna : So how do you find our facilities?
Mich : They're very good, very complete.
Cheryl : Yeah LOOKS good, we've YET to use it though. *hints for my 7 days FREE trial*
Krishna : Eheh, yes. So as you can see I've got this file here, all the complete stories, got pictures, the history behind True Fitness..
*he took out one super thick file, which had tonnes of papers inside. I almost fainted flat, wondering how long that talk was going to take. all I wanted to know was how much they are bloody charging lahh haihyo*
Krishna : Yeah, so, okay finally. Here's the price list.
YOU WOULDN'T WANNA KNOW HOW MUCH IT IS.
Initially, it was like RM500 for Registration fees, RM150 I think for each joining fees and processing fees, somemore haven't add RM300+ for monthly fees.
Better go rob a bank lah, so expensive!
Krishna : So, what do you think of the packages? How's the pricing?
Cheryl : Honestly, not very affordable for students like us. These are the only two packages you have isit?
Krishna : Yes, only two packages. Actually are there anything else besides the price that's stopping you from joining us? Like maybe time, or the venue, facilities or you know, stuffs like that..?
Michelle : Nope, guess not. Cause we live nearby.
Krishna : Okay, how bout if the price can be reduced? A cheaper rate. Would you be interested?
Cheryl : OHHHH. So there IS another package lah. Why you said ONLY two packages just now?
Habis.
HEADSHOT.
Con job revealed.
The rates dropped so much man, kononnya with mastercard, visa and don't know what other cards, then can get discount. Sighh, do WE look stoopid to you?
All the persuasive and convincing talking. We've been through that, and we've DONE that man. Business and marketing skills lah dei. We learn and experience that too though we're only 17 okay. We've worked for quite a number of times man, all these communication skills in promoting and marketing, kita pun tau lah apa. Don't try to act and con us.
Getting Our Free Passes
Obviously, we managed to get ourselves out of his 'convincing talk'. But instead of giving us a 7-days free trial pass, he gave us 2 days free passes each.
According to him, he said we're below 18, so can't get the 7 days one. Hmmmmm, ... to trust or not to trust?
Anyway doesn't really matter. 2 days free still better than nothing. Our passes were valid only for the next two following days.
Friday, 1st June Working Out
I was so bloody excited on that morning. Michelle was even more excited than I was, that she wanted to go there at 8am!
Crazy!
It was my first time in history going to a fitness centre and supposingly, 'work out' there. Ahah.

Had to bring our own locks to lock the lockers. I had no other locks in my house, so I was down to no choice but to take my old house's padlock.
Yes, it was humongous and heavy compared to everybody elses' locks which were tiny and light. Not forgetting, pretty-looking too, while mine was just a dead-looking rusted faded old padlock.
Damn shy man..

We started off with some warm ups to loosen our muscles a little. After a long time not exercising, I can feel my leg muscles all tensed up and tight. I can barely do a split anymore man.
Tsk tsk tsk, people grow old okay. So yeah. Shut it.

I don't know what the hell Michelle was trying to do, but yeah, she looks funnily cute. ;D

Yes, I have masculine-looking legs everytime I do that yoga warm up. Lol.. Not bad aye, Yoga instructor. With a camera that is.
We then moved on to some cardio exercises. Like the treadmill, the sit ups and all those. I officially did 200 sit ups on that day.
YES! I want to build pretty abs and throw my fats away!
There were a few types of abs building machine, so I tried out all, and did a total of exactly 200 abs building exercise/sit ups!

Michelle tired already. Ahahha..
We barely did much man. Not even sweating. But we're already tired, and mainly BORED actually.
We continued trying out the other machines. But neither one of them we lasted longer than 3 minutes. Each one of them, we do for a while, then in the end...
"Alahh, eh fren, boring lah this one. Not fun also. Jom change machine."
Ahaha, more to like playing than working out. Not long after that, I got seriously bored, and wanted to go homeeeeee..
*Started my exagerrating singing*
"Let me go homeeee, I'm just too farr, From where you (my home) are... I wanna come homeeeee...."
Later, Mich got bored and tired as well. So we decided to head back for HOME.
Yesss, finally! HOME SWEET HOMEEEEE.
We walked home, and it was pretty hot at that time, we were sweating like pigs. We worked out at the fitness centre just now also didn't sweat. Now walking home AT LEAST got sweat. I think this is the best 'work out' we did for the day lah; walking home.
Ahah, yes. My first and I guess also my last experience in a fitness centre. Enough for me. Fitness is not my thing. I'd rather sleep at home or come online and blog. At least I can still earn through blogging. To keep fit? I'd rather play sports man, I think I'll sweat more running around catching a ball, or hitting a shuttlecock, or playing table tennis. MUCH MORE SWEAT.
Ahah.. ;D
And today, the part which is in between both my ribs is hurting like cow. Thanks to the sit ups. Make that TWO HUNDRED sit ups.
I think I'm building abs already.
Yours truly, Cheryl, luckily Krishna was smart to give us a 2-days free pass instead of the 7 days one.

One Day Life As A College Girl
I went to Taylor's College School of Hospitality and Tourism (TCHT PJ Campus) yesterday, and I got to experience a little of a college life and atmosphere.
I was there under a programme called CLIOD (College Life In One Day) for the Architecture & Interior Design course. I was told to be there before 8:30am.

Dad : What time you wanna leave for college?
Cheryl : Hmmm, 8am - 8:15am? 8:30 I have to be there le..
Dad : You think no jam isit? Early in the morning everyone leaving for work okay. 7:30am. Get ready.
Okay lah, so I had to wake up at 6:30am and got myself ready, picked Jit Sheng up and headed for Taylor's.
Indeed, the traffic was pretty jammed at the Pyramid road there. And it was already 8:15am.
Dad : So now you see what's the traffic like. 8:30am be there doesn't means 8 or 8:15 only leave okay.
Cheryl : *Nods* Yea.
Dad : Next time you go college you'll go through all these. All the jams and everything. To avoid all these, you might even have to leave at 6:30. Understand not?
Cheryl : *wth 6:30??? Earlier than going school weih!* *Nods anyway* Yeahh, okay.

They gaved us each a Taylor's bag, with some stuffs like books, education details, a pen, a bottle of water and a nice notebook. ;D
Free stuffs, I like.
Call me cheap, I'm a Malaysian what.. hah!

That's where all of us grouped and met up first before starting our CLIOD course. I think there was a about a total of 50+ of us there, all from different schools.
And mind you, there were only 3 seafieldians, Myself, Jit Sheng and Tze Shyuan (I hope I spelled your name right ah weih).

Activity 1 : Presentation Architecture, Design and Creativity
The lecturer gave us a short word puzzle/quiz/game/whatever you want to call it during his talk on Architecture and Designing.
Mr. Lecturer : There'r 10 sentences. In each sentence, got 1 colour. Who can find all 10 colours the fastest then.. err... got prize lah.

Quite fun lah the word puzzle. And I finished it first, so I handed up my paper first.
Mr. Lecturer : Wah somebody found all already. Good good. Very fast. Let me check..
*checks*
Mr. Lecturer : Okay okay, all correct. You won yourself teh tarik, FROM ME. *smiles*
Hahhhaa baboon kampong mann teh tarik. Kopi ais nicer.
The talk wasn't too bad, pretty interesting. They were exposing us a little deeper in architecture and designing. Like how being creative and having ideas are important. And that there's always more than one way, more than one answer and more than one idea.
And so he told us a little something regarding to that,
"There was this judge who was judging a case in a court. There were 2 suspects. Suspect A explained his part of the story and told the judge why Suspect B is in wrong...."
Suspect A : You see, he was starting .... *tells his story*
Judge : Right right, that's right. Alright.
Suspect B : But wait, Judge! You have not listened to what I have to say! *and so he tells his story*
Judge : That's right, that's right.
Secretary of the court : Judge, they can't both be right. Someone has to be in the wrong.
Judge : That's right. You're right too.
Ahah, not too bad aye. There's always more than one answer. It just matters on how you look at it.

That's Mr. Lecturer, who promised but conned me teh tarik.
His talk did put in some sense into my head. I got to understand and realise more that everyone has ideas. If you can think, then you can have ideas. And one should not be ashamed or afraid to share and express out his/her ideas.
"Creativity is the defeat of habit by originality", by Arthur Koestler.
Activity 2 : Lettering Activity Design Your Own Nametag
This was just a short activity. Materials given were cut-out rectangular sized white cardboards, scissors and pencil.
We were supposed to design our own name tag, but not just with our names on it. It has to show our favourite food as well. So it's up to us how we want to show both our favourite food and names on the name tag.
Lecturer said a our design is considered good only if he's able to tell both the name of the designer and his/her favourite food. Lol
So I came up with..

You already know my name... so yeah. Can you tell what's my favourite food from the tag? (I pay you 5bucks, just say yes)
Activity 3 : Creative Nursery Rhyme Jack and Jill
In this activity, it more or less tested our creativity, and we got to view each and every others' ideas and ways of thinking.
We were asked to tell the story of Jack and Jill, using typographic symbols (dingbats).
As the description said, "They will discover that there is more than one way to skin a cat."
Indeed so.

Yeah, those are called typographic symbols/dingbats if you didn't know.
And my work of Jack & Jill is as below,

Activity : Lunch Time!!
Yes lahh, I was damnn hungry weih.

Not bad man, they served us buffet style, fried rice (which had prawns in it as you can see), salted egg fried chicken, wantans, dumplings, nuggets, vegetables, watermelons and melons.
Talk about college food man. Make that free college food. I give 1.5 thumbs up! (0.5 cos they didn't had tomato sauce)
But anyhow, no matter how good food can get, I'll never leave home without......

Tiger biscuits!
Yea, it's handy and convenient that I can just chuck it into my handbag.
We had quite a lot of time left after lunch till our next activity starts. Like bout 1 hour more. So we Jit Sheng, Tze Shyuan and I decided to seek for entertainment.

I met Sean and Wayne at the snooker place. I also met a few of my seniors, like Zheng Joo, Andrea, Wan Theng and Terence.
Activity 4 : Drawing Assemble a Sketch
This activity was done in a group of 6. We were asked to divide a face into 6 portions, and each one of us had to draw 1.

We had 6 blank art blocks like that for each of us. We had to draw each other's features. Since there were 6 portions and 6 people, so we chose our own parts to draw.
I chose the eye! =D Don't ask me why.

Used charcoal lah, what you expect. Ahahha..
Then we had to combine all 6 art blocks together to show out a drawing of a single face with 6 different face features and styles of sketching.

Hahahaa, damn cool man!
The first eye is my eye, drawn by Mei Ling. =D
The purpose of this activity was not to come out with a fine artwork, but to connect different styles of drawing into one piece of work and learn to draw exactly what you see, and not what you imagine.

From left to right : Cheryl, Yew Wei, Gina, Mei Ling Lower row from left : Jit Sheng, Tze Shyuan
The last and main Activity 5 : 3D Activity Taylor's Tower
It's a group work too. We were given materials to construct a standing structure.

And oh, I forgotten, a 4cm by 3cm Taylor's College flag too.
The structure with the highest Taylor's College flag and remains stable or not tupple down and does not shake/move when being blown by other a member of other groups is considered the winner.
This time, there were prizes. Like serious prizes. Not teh tarik.
All 6 members of the winning group will each get an Architecture and Building book.
Cheryl : Alahh architecture, I don't really like ah. I like interior designing weih.
Jit Sheng : Ya weih! Tak minat lah.
Lecturer : This books is called Up+Down. It has the full compilations of our students' work, projects, esssays and pictures from Studio 1 to Studio 4. It is worth RM50 each.
Jit Sheng : WOIHH! RM 50 siott! Okay, yes lahh. We're gonna win it.
Bahaaha.. not like we really really want the book, but the moment we heard it's worth RM50, yes lahh, whatever book also we would want to win. ;D
Yes, cheap, I know.

(Taylor's + Eiffel) Tower = Tay-fel Tower.

Seriously looks like the Eiffel Tower man. I swear we only noticed that when the lecturer mentioned that our structure looks very elegant, like the Eiffel Tower.
Ahah!

Saw! Got straw-rose decorations on our structure somemore! We call it the Taylor's National Flower. ;D
This is like interior designing man. The architects construct the structure, build it, and the designers design and fill up the structure.
We applied all the fields into our building of the Tay-fel Tower!

Very complex structure ah. But almost all the groups' structures were tall and touching the ceiling.
So now, it's the How Stable and Strong Is Your Structure Test!

Didn't tupple over lah, but shaked and moved.
Jit Sheng looked like the Big Bad Wolf trynna blow down the 3 little pigs' home down. Lol..

Our structure firm weih! Tay-fel Tower, the 8 Wonders of the World? Hahah, not bad man. Simplicity overules this time. ;D
Thus,

From left to right : Mei Ling, Cheryl, Jitz, Tze S., Gina, Yew Wei

Gila kampong babon buku nilai RM50 siottt. Bangga aku.

Bahahaa!
Any advertising company wants to hire a new employee? *Ahem*
CLIOD so rocked! I learnt new stuffs. Gained more experiences. Met more new friends (they're a bunch of friendliy people). Got more freebies. Won more stuffs!
YESSSS!
Yours truly, Cheryl, "Creativity is the defeat of habit by originality". Awesome quote. I love <3

You Don't Call Us Retards For Nothing
Everyone's soooo busy with the senior page for the school magazine. All the Form 5s have been camwhoring like no tomorrow since the past 2 weeks!
Every class has their own senior pages in the mag, and I can see mostly everyone's pretty hyped up bout it.
Cameras everywhere, and CAMWHORERS anywhere!
As you know, I loooooove photography. (okay if you didn't know, then now you know)

Yes yes yes Gerard, it's your watch. Your freaking TAG HEUERRRRRRR watch. You rich kid. lol..
Looks pretty good aye? Ahah, like a Tag Heuer advert yo! I know, I know, I'm a pretty good photographer.. *ahem* ahah!
Gone.
Gerard bangga his watch already.
And now, as my title says, You Don't Call Us Retards For Nothing.

Gerard : How ah to unbuckle bra with the shirt on?
Cheryl : Okay it's like this.. you take *experiments on brenda* ...
Then suddenly, *PAAAAKK!*

Cheryl : Habis.

Alahh and then Bren tension at me.. cos I accidently set her... *ahem* bra *ahem* free...

And last but not the least, I shall end this post with at least one decent photo of all of us. Ehehh..

And oh, HAPPY HOLIDAYS YA'LL! ;D
Yours truly, Cheryl, the pictures tell the stories this time. Need not more for words.

Dior Backstage Promo May 07
Christian Dior had another promo which just ended last Sunday, 15th May - 20th May 2007.
The whole promotion's collection this time was called Backstage, while promoting their latest mascara called the Black Out, inspired by runway catwalks.
You know those cool black black smokey eyes kinda look, the models always have that sexy-looking smokey eyes on the runway? Uh huh, that's the theme/collection for the promo. Fabulouso!

alahh can't see the full of bren..
Considering Mich, Bren and I still had classes, so we only worked on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which were the last 3 days of the promo.
And during the whole promo, everyone kept telling me and michelle that we look like twins.
"Heyy are you two twins?"
"Ehh where did your twin go?"
Or...
My colleagues : Omg I thought I just saw you inside Jusco there.. How did you get out here so fast?
Cheryl : Errrr... I was here all along?? Oh wait... I think you saw Michelle inside, I'm Cheryl.
and then, we'll get the typical line we get every single time...
"OMGGG YOU TWO LOOK LIKE TWINS AHH!!"
And what's best is when we tell them we're not twins at all,
"WOAAH SERIOUS AH? THEN SISTERS RIGHTT CONFIRMED!"
Ooooo yes lah. lmao! This is getting damn cool. Best friends can start to look like twins! Ahahha..

This time the promo was freaking huge. The setting was soooo gorgeous and humongous! Like the whole entire centrecourt part there was Christian Dior's.
Quite scary on the first day we arrived. Cos normally our promotion centre is very small.

Last row, left to right : Kok Keong, Brenda, Ji Chen Second row, left to right : Yoke Ling, Cheryl, Michelle, Jonathan The front dude : Jung Wei!
I made more new friends. My colleagues are really a bunch of whacky peeps man. I love them all! Just 3 days with them, it's enough to know the fun side of them.
I SOOOOOOO MISS THEM ALL MANN!

This time, all my colleagues are pretty competitive. They're all very hardworking. So it was a pretty tough competition among all of us part timers in earning our commissions.
Some of them even had lil' conflicts like whose customer is whose and all those. But yeah, at the end of the whole promo, everything was A-OK, all cool and we're all soooo close, everybody had fun on the last day!

Everyone in full black man! This time it's very standardized, we're given long sleeves black shirts. Slacks also black. Shoes also black. Yellow Black Coverage Fellows. xD
Aunty Cat (Mich's mom) : (with the very happy look) Okay girls.. I kept 3 shirts for you all already. Now got uniform, all must wear full plain black long sleeve shirt ahhh..
Cheryl & Brenda : Ohh thank you aunty!
Aunty Cat : Wait ahhh.. Okay here got 1 S size. This one for you lah Cheryl, S size. *unfolds the shirt*
Cheryl :
ZOMFG the shirt damnnnnn humongous. I wore it and it looked bigger than my pyjamas. Even the thin guy was wearing S size lahh!
Damn kampong man. The uniform really sucked. But first day, no choice lah, had to wear it anyhow.
Second day onwards, smart a bit already. I wore my own black top which looks very similar to the uniform but a whooolllleee lot smaller in size. heeeheee.

That's our photographer for our Dior Photoshoot sessions who we dont know what's his name is.
All of our other colleagues never really did talk to anyone else besides among themselves though.
But Michelle, Bren and I on the 2nd day of work already we made good friends with everyone, sama sama gila together with the photographer, the DJ, and the editors! =D
All of them looked very very serious and not friendly wan at first.. but eventually we got to know them, talked and laughed around with them. Turns out to be they're damnnnnnnnn funny and PC! OMG we found more of our clan! Hahaha

LMAO ROFL! He is sooooooo like michelle lahh, damn camwhore. And look at that pose man, don't know whether to laugh or scream.

The editor edits all the photoshoot photos damnn nice man. All the wrinkles, blemishes and skin imperfections all edited until the photo looked very very nice and natural.
We tried peeping from his back and learn learn a bit though. Hah!

They do look like some big time gangsters, those tai lo tai lo abit wan.. which sort of got us quite scared to joke and sohai around with them at first.
Woihhssshh.. manatauu, they're even more PC and kampong than us.

There was another DJ, that we were closer to. But dunno where he hilang diri when we wanted to snap a shot with him.
The DJs also became good friends with us.. we like kenal damn lama already..
Cheryl : Eh abang.. alahhmak ngapa main semua lagu tuh macam kampong disco disco ahh? Semua techno ahh abang. Main lagu gempak skit lah..
DJ : Ahh macam mana? U pilih lahh..
Cheryl : Alahhhh, main macam tuh "to the left, to the left" ahh. Semua lagu abang main hari ini boring ah, repeat lagi.
Ehehhe. Fun man.

They're two out of a few more make-up stylists during the promotion.
Actually, if you're wondering why we had like profressional make-up stylists and hairstylists, photographer and editors...
it's cos this Backstage promo was mainly to sell make-up workshop vouchers and makeover vouchers.
So people come and buy Dior products and get their makeover done right on the spot, with a photoshoot. Thus, the necessity of having a photographer and editors.

I wanna be Cameron D.!! Hahah..
You can see how black our uniform is lah. Head to toe all black. I even had my black nail polish on. *horny emoticon* Damn black ahh.. =D

Abang Alias looks like one of the King Kong actor right.. the guy who saved the girl! Hahaha!
We love Ah Ko (Abang Alias) loads man.. he's funny and he's like our young daddy there.

Woishh.. check out Bren's eyelashes weihh.. put mascara already then looks like fake eyelashes ahh.. like the Black Out mascara. QUITE cool.
Ahahah, gone.
Bren bangga edi.

And last but not the least,

Aunty Cat a.k.a. Mich's mom!
Thanks for everything and all the help aunty! We appreciate it loadssss.. We heart you! <3
Yours truly, Cheryl, I heart Dior Promos! All my new friends n colleagues, I love! I miss ya'll mann.. <3
