counter hit make Cheryl Ho's Blog - You don't wanna miss it

Name's Cheryl Ho, turning 17 on October 12th 2007. Asian from Malaysia. Chinese. Last year of high school in Seafield. Speaking of turning to be a Legal 17, I so bloody can't wait for my license. Well, it's not like I'll own a new car or have a car to drive around, but heck. P license still means I can drive. So shut it.

Yours truly loves shopping, music and designing. I hell dig for great movies and expensive, tasty chocs. Non-smoker. Non-alcoholic. Two best movies I've ever watched? It's gotta be The Prestige and The Holiday. If you haven't watched them, what the hell are you doing with your life?

I love my family and friends to earth. Well I might be a pain in an ass to my family and a stupidly plus retardedly funny irritating friend AT TIMES, but yeah, I know they love me too. (I pay ya'll 5 bucks, just say yes).

I so goddamn adore photography and crave for a D-SLR camera. *ahem* My birthday is not far away, Oct 12, ahem. One of my biggest affection is designing.

I love Tiramisu, Cappucino and Chocolate cakes. Starbucks' Javachip frappucino rocks. I love socialising and parties. I'm hella big fan of Indo Har Mee. No seriously. I am. Enjoy reading me. Oh, and be a darling and do me favour, would you? Click on my pretty ads, they'll make you prettier. Trust ME.

    Hitting KL

    We ain't got driving license.
    We ain't got cars.
We ain't got drivers in limos.

So we took the public transport. How handy.

Michelle and I headed down to KL the last Tuesday, 21st August '07. The last time I sat the KTM and LRT and all the vehicles going "CHUUU CHUUU" was last year's April. And that was with guys.

This time, it was only Michelle and I. Before I left home, I made sure of myself that I was fully equiped in case if there were some bad guys in KL. For example, my blade; I could like slash the fella in the wrist or throat or sumthin, ya'know wha'I'm saying?

And also, my pepper spray, which I have yet to test if it was still working since the last 5 years.

    Paranoid?

    Well maybe a lil'.

Daddy dropped us at the KTM station, and from there, we went to KL Central.

The last time I took the KTM, I clearly remembered that after buying the ticket, all ya'gotta do is just put the ticket in the hole, it'll 'eat' your ticket, open the gate for you to pass, and return your ticket out.

    Simple as that.

Weelllllllllll, yeah. Didn't quite work the same this time. We tried almost all counters to pass through, but the machines wouldn't 'eat' our tickets.

So there we were, looking like fools. And with Michelle laughing away like a retarded cow just because we can't pass through, or maybe we DON'T KNOW how to pass through, yeah the people there just stared and giggled silently at us.

Wow. Thanks so much people, that'll help us a lot.

Oh how embarassing. We looked like some jakuns or some retarded newbies. Sheesh.

We got to KL Central safely anyhow. That's very kind of your concern, thank you.

I did bring my camera along, but I just didn't dare to take my camera out in public to snap shots. I hope you do know about snatch thieves. I'm just a Subang girl trynna be careful in the dangerous city of KL okay, is that wrong?

Well actually our main point of going down to KL was to do some shopping, mainly for my MPT5 dress, and you know, girl stuffs.

In about an hour and 15 minutes, we reached KL, safely. Woah that's a surprise. I thought we would have lost our way somewhere. Not bad for retarded newbies huh?

First off, Mich and I shopped at Petaling Street (Chee Cheong Kai). We saw loads of imitation bags, wallets and some pretty cool shades, but yeah. No dresses. Well even if there were, there were all pretty skimpy-looking. Typical lah.

But I do remember there were streets of many shop lots, like all boutiques and all. The streets were with red lights, and I was pretty sure it ain't Petaling Street. It looked more like China Town.

We couldn't find it, so we asked the information booth which was just beside Petaling Street.

"Hello. Nak tanya ah, itu jalan ada banyak kedai-kedai baju dan lampu-lampu merah, mana letak?"

"Hmm.. semua jalan pun macam tu lah. Yang mana you tanya?"

    "Itu.. China Town."

"Ohhh, Chinaa Townn. Nehh, sini saja (pointing to Petaling Street)."

    -.-

So much for an information booth. I didn't know Petaling Street was known as China Town.

You know what? Screw it. We left, and Michelle was craving for Kenny Rogers for lunch. She agressively insisted that she MUST have Kenny Rogers. Oh like we would know where to find a Kenny Rogers out of nowhere.

So we stopped to ask this policeman where was the Kota Raya Complex, just hoping that there would have Kenny Rogers.

"Hello. Tumpang tanya, macam mana mau pegi itu complex Kota Raya?"

"Oh, dekat. Jalan terus saja. Nampak itu bangunan kat depan? Itu lah. Complex tuh."

Okay, so we walked down the street to that building as told. From the outside, the building seriously looked like a Hindu temple. Like a quil. Looks alot like an Indian building. It was yellowish-gold in colour, and no Kota Raya Complex or whatsoever signboard on it.

As much as I wanted to doubt that it was the right building, but I guess we trusted the policeman just much. So we walked in. And there was nothing inside, but handphone shops, and just one miserable food court. So much for a Complex.

Our energy level is decreasing and our hunger meter is increasing, like mad. We then decided to just head Times Square. Nothing could go wrong there.

The question is, how to get there?

Oh right. A Bus. Sure. If I knew just which one. There were like dozens of buses, but none leaded to Times Square. Perhaps we were at the wrong bus stop.

We walked further down to another bus stop, and tried our luck. Just as the moment Michelle grumbled for her Kenny Rogers again, I spotted a Kenny Rogers Restaurant at the corner of my left eye.

"OMG! Kenny Rogerss!!!! Kawan!! OMGG!! How come suddenly got Kenny Rogers here!! Roasted chickens!!"

Okay. That was not a very smart thing to do in the street with many people. Way to go Cheryl, +1 on the embarassing meter.

Mmmm.. Michelle got what she craved for. Now, it's time to head for Times Square.

We waited for more buses, and all of them just wouldn't go to Times Square. Fine. We quit the buses. We stopped this cab which had an old Ah Poh inside and asked if he could drop us at Times Square.

"Times Square ahh, never go wohh. Take monorail lah"

We overheard the Ah Poh was going to take the train or something like that. She was speaking in Cantonese. So we asked her if she knew how to get to Times Square.

She didn't have a clue, she didn't even know what's Times Square. But at least she claims she knows where's the train station. We told her monorail.

Ah Poh was heading to Ampang. So she bought a LRT ticket to Ampang. We bought our own tickets to Times Square.

The train arrived. I looked at the station map. It looks like it's heading backwards, like going back to Subang. Then I could see Times Square at the back of us, and we're getting further and further away from it.

Oh yes! Ah Poh brought us to the wrong station. We immediately dropped off at Hang Tuah. And from there, we could see Times Square not far away.

Well it wasn't a very long journey to Times Square from Hang Tuah. Probably bout 5-10 minutes walk?

We ain't no sissy girls who can't get their feet walking on tar roads, and letting the wind blow their precious hair, or melt under the hot weather. Screw that.

    We walked.

I think walking from my house to Taipan is even further than this!

Yeah we did sweat and got ourselves pretty sticky, but Times Square has air conditioners for a reason you know. =)

However, we failed to get anything from there. It was almost late evening, so we decided to head back down to Subang.

Guess our trip to KL wasn't a very shopping-trip huh? Was more like a Find-Your-Way-There trip. We bought nothing except for Michelle's aviator.

    Ahahha damn rempit man..

    Home, at last!

What a journey man. That's another whole lot of experiences we've gone through together again. How gay. Sadly Brenda couldn't come along. You woman!

I think it'll be quite some time more till the next time I'm going to hit KL with public transport.

    Yours truly,
Cheryl, next post: Holiday at Genting
